For this tutorial, we’ll be using the program free Canva. This program gives a lot of resources and tools that you might need to create printables, however, there are also other programs you can use for creating printables like PicMonkey and Photoshop if you prefer those. If you’ll be creating printables a lot for personal use or for selling online, it might be worth it to use a combination of the programs mentioned above.

For your background, you can use any image you want. Whether it’s one you’ve created, a stock photo you want to use, or an actual photograph you’ve taken, Canva makes it easy to upload as your background! Next, you’ll want to add any text and imagery to your background to create the printable.

It’s as simple as that! There are so many different kinds of printables you can create, and if you want to spend some time creating printables to sell online, here are a few ideas of different kinds of printables you can sell:

  • Chore charts
  • Business expense trackers
  • Meal planning charts
  • Party planning charts
  • Birthday invitations
  • Wedding invitations
  • Seasonal gift tags
  • Organizing labels
  • Coloring pages
  • Kids art activities
  • Play money
  • Recipe cards
  • Direct sales party planners

When you create printables, be sure to save a copy on your computer as well as in Canva or anywhere else you might keep it like your Etsy store. This is also a great service to offer if you want to become a VA – printable creators are always sought after! Make sure if you’re selling printables as a VA, you mark whether they’re exclusive or semi-exclusive too. If you’ll be selling it to multiple people, you need to designate that in any listings you have.

There you have it – now you can create printables all on your own for anything you might need! It’s a simple way to keep organized or create some new art for your decor.

Have you ever wanted to create printables before? What kind of printables are you favorite?
