Shopping Online With HSN For The Holidays.
HSN For The Holidays has really come through again this year. With online sales reaching record breaking highs this year partly from more people working from home and less traveling. I know myself for one has done 90% of my shopping online since spring and let me tell you, I may never shop in a store out of ‘need’ again! I may shop to browse, leisurely stroll the departments cause that’s just ‘so retro’ right?
I am much pickier about where I shop online now. If I can’t touch and check out the product, I want as much info as possible when shopping online. We all know the big ‘one’ everyone goes online to and well, that just doesn’t work out so well for me a lot of times. I order, get what was described but the description just isn’t always good enough. I need more info. I want to feel like I’m still shopping even when I’m not in the store.

I ‘theme’ shop there too. What is theme shopping? It’s a way to mimimize your ‘list’ of how many places you need to go by picking a ‘theme’ for your gifting. For example; all winter hats, gloves, scarves or everyone is getting a small kitchen appliance.

Roomba to the Rescue
One of the most useful gifts I gave my parents and they still use is their Roomba. My mom named it ‘Rosie’. HSN always offers the latest and greatest technology and gives the best descriptions and videos of how the product works in real time. I love their demonstrataions.
Coffee Please, Also Tea, Hot Chocolate and More
A few years back My daughters as well as my in-laws as well as my parents all got Keurig’s. I remember my step daughter’s ‘aha’ moment when she realized as a college student she could make hot chocolate on the fly! My daughter is well, my daughter, tried and true coffee addicts we are. Her kids grew up with Keurig’s so even the grandkids have never had the bother of having to make a whole pot of coffee. You guessed it, HSN wins again!

Two years ago, the girls got Arlo. We want our girls to be safe now that they’re no longer living at home. I was never so excited to give them a ‘sensible’ gift, but I actually think they enjoyed them, so it was a great gift. Remember the benefits I talked about and how much I struggle with descriptions. About a year and a half ago my husband was incredibly ill. 6 weeks on a ventilator in ICU. After he was strong enough he had to go to rehab. Being in ICU can lead to all kinds of non medical side effects and one way to help a person mentally cope to heal is keeping connected. I bought Portal’s for each one of us including one for him bedside in the rehabiliation facility. Not only could we talk with him, we could see one another when we weren’t physically there.
One of the added benefits was he figured out how to hook up to the internet and stream movies! My very non techy husband was streaming bedside, it was truly a sign he was recovering and ahead of time ! YAY Thank you HSN and Portal. Honestly everyone from our 3 year old grandson to my senior parents can use it with ease. I recommend this for anyone with multi generational families, especially in these times. We can be physically distant but no longer a need to be socially distant, not with today’s tech and great products to help all ages.
Sensible Safety with a Dash of Fun
Last Christmas was the fun (still sensible) gift, Ring doorbells. Back in the early stages of COVID, our oldest daughter was making and distributing free face masks for her community. It was an entire community volunteer effort. Some would contribute fabric, some elastic. Others would pick up masks to help deliver. Well, she had a system where they’d use her milk box to drop things off. She would tell me how much fun it was seeing so many moms, dads too running in and out of their cars in only PJs. Early morning silliness via Ring, who knew.

This Year’s Gift Hints
This year’s gift is shhh. Only a hint or two. It’s ‘mini’ , it’s family friendly (I mean all ages!), Indoor/ Outdoor entertainment fun and oh yes, it’s socially distance approved! Oh, and I bought EIGHT of them! One for each household, one for us too. Although, honestly, the gift is portable too. I can’t wait to share with you in a couple of weeks what everyone thought of it.
My mom already has hers unopened and has decided to use it as ‘decor’. I actually love it she may need to keep the box after opened. She’s multipurposing her gift with HSN For The Holidays.
